Finished skill tree: note in stream

I finished my Spanish skill tree today and was happy to see the congratulations owl pop up. I noticed, however, that there was no indication in my stream that I had completed the tree. It would be nice to also have something there.

Thanks for a great program that I thoroughly enjoyed. I look forward to polishing my skills through continued practice and translation.

Maybe they can outline your flag in gold when you complete a tree. And congratulations. ^-^

Or maybe a trophy next to your little flag. Better than showing the level after you've completed the whole tree.... my levels are not that high even i have finished spanish and portuguese. Plus, i think native would be a good option next to the flag if the person is a native in some of the languages offered by Duo...

Maybe not trophies. It might clutter the discussion boards. But there should definitely be a trophy visible on you profile page. =D

Yeah but maybe one towards the top of the page; nobody wants to scroll down the entire tree :P

That's fine. It can be tempting to do everything at once, but it might be better to do one at a time. The better you are at a language, the less time you need to spend on practice. You might see some people with a lot of flags, but they are probably focussing on one or two language(s) at a time. Good luck with your Spanish!

I agree with Lenkvist, salsalainjazz - I focused all my attention on Spanish first, like you, and now that I have gotten that one under my belt, studying 2 other languages at the same time after is easier for me. But really put effort into your first second language, or at least the one you're being graded on, so you don't get confused or so you'll learn it really thoroughly! :)

I do wish it at least showed in the stream (it would also be nice if the medal was replaced by the trophy when you competed a tree.)
