Greek for English speakers (Ελληνικά από Αγγλικά)
When will the Greek reverse course begin to hatch? I don't mean to be impatient but the English for Greek speakers came out quite a while ago. I was under the impression that making the reverse course was fairly simple as a lot of it was completed in the original course - is there some more complicated aspect that I am missing? Ευχαριστώ πολύ!
Γεια σου, zcggcz2,
I think the Greek for English speakers course will begin to hatch after English for Greek speakers gets into Phase 3 (in Incubator terms, less than a certain amount of sentence reports [used by clicking the "Report a problem" button, which sends a message to Incubator contributors a list of user-suggested translations and whether they should be accepted or not, and since there are so many sentences in one course that may need checking it will take a while, so be patient] in a certain period of time, I forget how long). Again, please be patient, as this takes a long time to do.
As for teaching Greek itself with English to Greek, I'm not sure how that will be displayed, as I'm not a native Greek speaker, just a learner of the reverse course.
Thank you for responding! The current course is still quite useful for learning Greek, but I do not get the listening or speaking practice (as I am only asked to listen to and speak English), which is why I am waiting for the reverse course. Looking forward to its release!
Sentence-wise the reverse course is probably pretty much ready, but it will take time to be complete if you consider the following extras it needs:
1) Grammar tips & notes
2) Remake of the tree, so that the lessons come in an order that makes sense for learning Greek. As it is now the lessons are ordered to learn English.
3) Voice support for the listening tests
4) Voice recognition support for the speaking tests
