Quick question

Hello from Greece! I have always been fascinated by Ireland, its people, culture and history.

Does anybody know how Greece and Greek are in Irish? For example if I talk to an Irish speaker and I want to introduce myself saying, I am Greek, how can I say that? 'Is Grecanach me' comes to mind, but I think it's wrong. any help please?

Thanks

  • Is Gréagach mé = I'm Greek
  • Is as an nGréig mé = I'm from Greece
  • Tá Gréigis agam = I speak Greek
  • Tá na Gréagaigh ag teacht! = The Greeks are coming!

One tiny typo there: I'm from Greece would be Is as an nGréig mé.
