Here's the general rule:
–a: use feminine
–ión: use feminine
–e: sometimes one, sometimes the other
Anything else: use masculine
But there are exceptions.

Usually it's just -a, but there are some other things.
I forgot to mention that -vid and -tad, or I think those, are also feminine. You won't encounter these very often, but yeah.
