Is the plural of 'jakkesæt' just 'jakkesæt'?
Is this an irregular plural case?
It also seems that the plural of tøj is "tøj"
At least it's memorable (if you think of English 'togs' for clothes).
I noticed the plural of "dyr" is "dyr" as well....
Wish I'd known.
My Danish is not all that good, but I'm wondering what's wrong with "Kjoler og jakkesæt er klæder"?
"Klæder" is a formal and old word that normally wouldn't be used in everyday speech nowadays.
Ok, unlike in Swedish then :) It still seems to show up a lot in the hints in the Danish course.
It's accepted now! It isn't wrong, just old fashioned.
Nowadays it also hints more at towels instead of clothing.
Guess a suit can also be Dragt ( for women )
I can't get British English so all I know is American and the tog you mentioned is out of my league it sounds almost Latin. But every time I see that toj I want to start thinking about toys for my cat or something
You should be able to say "habit" instead of "jakkesæt" as well.
What about påklædning?
