“did not use to” without the “d”
Used to is how we in Nebraska always said it but like Danish last letters arent alway clearly sounded
Why is it not "They usually don't allow TV during dinner?" - How would one say that?

for me it sounds strange to "allow television" - i would rather say that they wouldnt allow watching television/ or having the television on during dinner
To 'allow television' is fairly common phrase in UK. Especially houses with children!
