Does 'brune bjørne' mean the species, brown bear, or just a brown (colour) bear (or both)? Basically I'm asking is there another name for the species or is it the same thing?

The Danish Wikipedia lists it as the species, but I imagine a bear who is brown would also be "en brun bjørn"
