What is the distinction between "whose cats are THEY/THOSE" and "whose cats are THESE"?

they/those = "de" or "de der". these = "disse" eller "de her". Please not that "de der" and "de her" are mostly used in speech and are not as common in writing.

Also got this wrong - the explanation makes sense although the distinction feels slight :-)

these and those are interchangeable for the most part in English, although I know that These are closer than those!

These are the old crazy lady's cats. She probably has around 50 or more..

He says "katte" as a single syllable: "kat."
