could you say "da pulire" instead of "a pulire" ?

Notice the different uses of da and a:

  • C'è un tavolo da pulire/There is a table to clean
  • Venite a pulire il tavolo/Come clean the table
  • Abbiamo delle scarpe da pulire/We have some shoes to clean
  • Inizio a pulire le scarpe/I begin to clean the shoes
  • La finestra è da pulire/The window needs to be cleaned
  • Andiamo a pulire la finestra/We're going to clean the window

Da has a more descriptive function than a.
