Why do I suddenly have over 140,000 xp
Yesterday I had about 51,500 xp and by doing nothing my xp almost goes up 100,000, please can this error be sorted
Think they recalibrated Immersion points and applied them retroactively? (Though, maybe within a limited time frame if so, because I haven't received any boosts from my old translating. Kinda glad because I don't want to suddenly find myself at lvl 25.)
@Usagiboy7: No this is not intentional. I have a surplus of 260k. No way this could have happened through immersion. Staff is aware of the issue but obviously they don't have a solution at the moment. As we didn't see a Zombie Apocalypse, yet, I guess the number of users affected by this is relatively small.
Thank you wataya! (But what if it a Ninja apacolypse and the number of users is actually everyone >.>)
When I look at my leaderboard, it says that you have 91667 XP, which is about right
The extra points only are displayed on one's own leaderboard. This thing is a bit annoying and I hope we'll have a solution soon.
Great find, remoonline...Hope that rhymes. There is no way I'm resetting my progress, though. ;) Looks like I'll just have to guesstimate from here so that I can enter the 100K XP Hall of Fame. :P
It's just a suggestion for folks who are too worried about the increase in XPs. 100K..ahem..long way for us mere mortals :)
I have so many people above me on my lists that I don't know the "average" level anymore. Forgive me. ;)
Ah, just finished my post after yours appeared... Are they seriously suggesting to reset a tree? What crazy idea is this?
It's just a suggestion. From their perspective, they decided to err on the side of caution. Just imagine if the algorithm had been tweaked to deduct 50K instead of adding that. I am pretty sure the forum would have been flooded with posts demanding the XPs back :)
They count some languages twice. I have two "base" languages: English and Spanish.
If I add up all XPs, it gives me the overall sum given on the screen. There is no way I did 4309 on German from Spanish (they were counted together with the German from English course). Now, I have them twice, and one of those points is pretty much my overall sum is off. Why both German courses are off by 10, I don't know. Maybe this happened when they changed it.
I assume the system is designed such that just the math is off.
