Ho finito l'albero Italiano!

This morning I finished my Italian skill tree! After 316 days of learning! Started last october with no skills in Italian at all and now I feel a bit more confident about my language skills. And I must say: Duolingo is great!

Grazie tante!!

I hope to get there eventually! But probably after I finish my Spanish and French trees.

Keep going! And I can see that you are doing German as well, so please ask if ever you have a question there. I am a native German speaker. Grazie per auguri! :-)

Mi raccomando agli articoli! Si dice "grazie per GLI auguri" ;) complimenti!

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Guilelmo

Ah ... occhi! Grazie!

Thanks :) That would be amazing.

I can't say it in Italian yet without cheating off other people in the thread, but congratulations!

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Guilelmo

Non so essattamente, davvero.

Complimenti, sei molto bravo.

working out my italian skills. Looks pretty interested for me, I speak English and Spanish!

Many congratulations! I started not long after you (also with no prior knowledge) but I won't have finished my tree after 316 days, so well done you. I am aiming to finish around my first anniversary....with luck!

Thanks! But do keep staying on track. It pays off! Don't bother about how long it takes - I still have to do a lot of practising ant it is just a start.

Congrats, most impressive probably the 316 streak ;) Never seen a higher one I guess...

Bravo ragazzo! Duolingo funziona!

Grazie! Buona giornata a te. ;-)

Bravo Guilelmo! L'italiano è la mia lingua preferita :) Sono d'accordo, Duolingo è buonissimo!! Buona giornata a te, ciao ciao :)

Congratulations. I have about 34+ lessons left and I'm in the middle of redoing my tree.

Keep going. And, what I really like about the Duolingo Community is the readiness to help. Use that! It helped me a lot.

Sono impressionato dalla tua apprendimento striscia!

Congratulations! It looks, it was quite an amount of work you put in your Italian achieving level 25. And your answers in this thread look really good, I'll be happy if I'll be able to write like this when I finish my tree. :)

Wow. Mi sento come una tartaruga, because I started the Italian tree in February 2013, and I'm still only about 75% done. But I've had a ton of great practice outside of the lessons, so I feel like I've learned quite a lot so far. One day I'll reach the end, one day...

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Guilelmo

Please do not be discouraged at all! The most important thing is real practice and since I did not always have this possibility (I only could go to Italy every eight weeks for a very short stay of a day or so) I focused on Duolingo. This is the only reason why I finished it that early. You will finish it anyway. And after all - it's not about finishing the tree - it's about learning Italian.

Congratulazioni! :D

Good for you..how do you feel about conversing in Italian now? Do you feel like you hop over there and be able to communicate properly?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Guilelmo

Well, at least I think I can deal with some everyday situations, which is more or less what I waned it for. A year ago my car broke down in Italy in the middle of nowhere and I had big difficulties getting it towd to a garage, talking to the mechanic and so on. So I started the whole thing and now, I think, this will not happen again. I am rather confident about basic conversation.

That's great! Molto buono :). What would you change about the service now that you have completed it?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Guilelmo

I think I would - as some others have already mentioned - like to have some grammar charts and a bit more help with idiomatic expressions. Although I appreciate the method of intuitive learning by doing it sometimes is hard; especially with all those irregular forms. Tips are helpful but very often they are just not sufficient.
