What's the deal with ever shifting point value of translations?
- I regularly translate every sentence in a document. 2. I am given credit for the full point value of each question. 3. A smaller point total appears in my stream (never higher), sometimes a lot less points than expected. 4. It is not unusual to go back to that page (immediately) and see that the point values for the translations have changed (again, always lower). 5. It's not like I need points, but why am I consistently screwed out of them? 6. This is a very regular thing to see happen.
Curiouser and curiouser. I just did a document with twelve sentences. Total points: 160. Total credited points: only 143, which is actually better than usual. One other person had translated the page, and had also done it all. I went immediately back to the page and found that most of the point values had changed. I wonder how and why that works. The reductions ranged from 0 points to 3 points, averaging about 2. Strange.
I did two full documents "Mon Monogram . . ." and "Nuevo yogar . . ." - and wouldn't you know it, the points came out exactly perfect. Like somebody threw a switch, or made a few clicks to fix everything up. But then I did "Stella del Carmen . . ." and got screwed the worst ever. Did every sentence, there is a check mark next to every sentence, the document shows that I did every sentence - but my stream shows that I did one sentence for 9 points. WTF? You can see in my stream the credit that I got, compared to the credit that I should have gotten. What happened to the rest of the sentences and the other 68 points? I have uploaded a screenshot of the completed document. Sorry about the low res, but you should be able to zoom in and see everything clearly. (The app that I usually use for page captures is behind on Firefox updates and didn't work, so I improvised.) Here is a link to the screenshot: http://serenebreezes.com/ripped-off.jpg and here is link to a PDF with the translations that I made: http://serenebreezes.com/Stella_del_Carmen.pdf
