Google chrometranslate help
I read, I believe from someone on this sight, about a google chrome app or rather extension that you could use to not just translate any webpage for you, but you could select your level of language competency and either have everything translated or just the harder words with levels you could chose in between. This is good to alleviate frustration a little, while practicing the easier words. Does anyone know the name of it, I can't seem to find it. Thanks in advance.
It was definitely Google, but whatever works and this looks really nice. Thanks.
I'm seeing you can import books on ReadLang. My cousin is learning English and is in school being taught various subjects in English with books written in English. She has a online electrical book version for some of her textbooks. Do you think books like that could be translated? Because they are very picture oriented, with text over illustrations and such, along with any legality associated with school books?
I don't know. You'd have to ask ReadLang about matters such as that. :)
It is called Language Immersion for Chrome. It sits up on your tool bar so you single click it on or off. You can adjust the level with one click on the app icon.
The way I use it is I set it at a level that is easy for me. Thus I can easily read complex web sites with about half the content in French. The translated words are highlighted in faint blue so I can single click any particular one to be rendered back to me in English without reloading the whole page. I could set it higher but then it slows me down to read the page and starts becoming an inefficient way to learn vocabulary.
