Would be great to have groups to follow/join/create

I noticed the r/duolingo sidebar on reddit has a link to a google spreadsheet of duolingo users interested in "Friendly competition". I think it would be great to add some socialization features to the website where people could create or join groups...e.g., I start a Chicago-area spanish user group..then people interested in other spanish users in the chicago area just join that group rather than adding a bunch of individual users to friend/follow.

I agree! This is something we'll be working on this summer.
