J'adore News in Slow French! I've been subscribing to the podcast through iTunes, which is free as well. https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/french-podcast/id427774337?mt=2

Merci pour le lien!

The newer episodes are only 8 min. The longer version of the podcast (almost 1/2 hour long) has a fee. It is really good, but quite expensive.

Thanks for the link. Just listened to one broadcast. Pity not all French speakers talk like this. Would make my life a lot easier. ;-)

IMO it's worth paying for a subscription. You get the transcripts for all of the segments in each week's podcast. Listening to the broadcasts while reading the transcripts has been a great supplement to Duolingo.

You could also be interested in L'avis de Marie at podclub.ch. It is a bit faster, but you can read along on the website while listening. Or just subscribe to the podcast.

I only listened to the first news report and its transcript was shown. Some of the French words in the transcript were links. If clicked-on, they translated to English. A few minutes into the report it said I had reached the end of free content.

RFI tend to speak more slowly also, as for many of their African listeners, French is very much a second language.
