Slow News in French
The mobile version of SNIF is free. There are 186 news episodes with several minutes of free content in each. Some of the French words in the transcripts are links that will translate to English when clicked on.
J'adore News in Slow French! I've been subscribing to the podcast through iTunes, which is free as well. https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/french-podcast/id427774337?mt=2
Merci pour le lien!
The newer episodes are only 8 min. The longer version of the podcast (almost 1/2 hour long) has a fee. It is really good, but quite expensive.
Thanks for the link. Just listened to one broadcast. Pity not all French speakers talk like this. Would make my life a lot easier. ;-)
IMO it's worth paying for a subscription. You get the transcripts for all of the segments in each week's podcast. Listening to the broadcasts while reading the transcripts has been a great supplement to Duolingo.
I used to subscribe to News in Slow Spanish and I LOVED it! Can´t wait to check out the French. Thanks for the link.
I only listened to the first news report and its transcript was shown. Some of the French words in the transcript were links. If clicked-on, they translated to English. A few minutes into the report it said I had reached the end of free content.

And there's also an app for Android users:
Let's get this going!
