Think we should have more practice with the words before we have to spell out sentences

I almost thought it said my sister is a dog. Then I double checked and was very relieved.

Mi hermana tiene un perro, él nombre es Tony.

Tony es novio de su hermana? No?

Sí ;)

"My sister has a dog, HE name is Tony." "Tony is boyfriend of your sister? no? yes.

"His" is "su." Su is also formal for "your". Su can also mean her (possesive). Also, "el" needs to be added before "novio".

Well, ya tried.

I lost a heart for leaving out one "r" in perro! Everything else was the same.

I put doggy it didnt accept. Why is this

Well, "doggy" and "dog," though they refer to the same thing, are not the same. Two different words, right? Also ask yourself if you have been taught here that "perro" means "doggy." If asked to translate "doggy" to Spanish, I might ask if "perrito" works. Think a little more formally; it is appropriate to the educational environment. Father, not da-da, for padre. Brother instead of bro for hermano. "How are you?" for, "Cómo estás?" Definitely not, "Yo, wut up?"
