Duolingo: Spanish

It's weird because so far they haven't taught me any numbers, days, or months in Spanish... aren't those important live skills?

Yes, they are - but they will be covered soon. Most of what you are learning now is just as important. Keep learning!

Those are important, but I guess by the construction of the language courses Duolingo wants you to understand more of the language construction and grammar before teaching you those words (which are just words and don't contribute to the understanding of a language).

Time is taught pretty early on but I do think numbers could be earlier in the tree, probably around plurals.

Okay. I know them because I learned them back in kindergarten (before forgetting them) and I'm re-learning them now (in seventh grade). I mostly use Duolingo because I suck at Spanish and want to get better because I love my Spanish teacher (in the way that it's acceptable to love a teacher).
