Just to be clear. Do they eat together? Or does the man eat the meat and the staff too?
Here they all eat meat, no cannibalism involved :-) However, if the sentence had been "Manden spiser brød med ost", it would have meant "The man eats bread with cheese", i.e., there was cheese on the bread eaten by the man.
Mange tak! I was making a joke actually, but it is also good analyze the sentence. :)
I think, for any canibalism to be involved, you would have to use to "personal" rather than "personalet".
It is not "personal" in Danish, it is "personale".
My thought exactly!
I thought it was meat with personality. You know, like the pig in Pulp Fiction.
Came here to say this exact thing. Personlighed går en lang vej.
Came here to say this exact thing. (Y)
Heh... The first time I saw this I thought it was saying "The man eats meat with personality."
I said coworkers, isn't that close?
"The man is eating meet with the staff" not accepted??
