I don't think so, that would leave out the modal verb in the translation and that's what being taught. My opinion.
Because you are using a modal verb, that means you must use the infinitive of the verb (in this case bezahlen) at the end of the sentence.
Am I the only one who finds it very diffcult to differentiate between 'bezahle' and 'bezahlen' when listening?
Fast richtig. Der zweite Verb soll am Ende sein. Wie kann ich dich zurück bezahlen. I'm not sure if this is something somebody would say in German but hopefully this helps.
