"Kjole" always confuse me, since "kjol" in Swedish is "skirt".

in the audio there's no trace of final -R in kjoler

I guess that we should focus on the final -e of the previous word (mine) instead

Why is 'they are having (my dresses)' wrong?

I don't believe that's correct English. "Are having" usually implies for something. Having food implies to eat, but you wouldn't ever say I am having your shoes to wear. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will better explain the grammatical rules between the different cases. Just replying as a native English speaker.

What's the difference between skirt and dress?

A skirt is waist down, just the bottom like pants. A dress has the top attached, so a shirt and a skirt all in one.

Why is "you have my dresses" not acceptable. "De" is a formal way of saying you (or is it so old fashioned that it is not in use in duolingo)

De (formal you) is not used in duolingo. You are right about "De" being formal, but nobody who speaks Danish uses "De" for "you", instead they use "Du".
