Does all verbs conjugate the same ?
Are there different sorts of verbs, or does all the vers conjugate the same ? (eu -> o ; tu -> s ; nos -> mos ; eles -> m), although i'm guessing there is some exceptions like lê, but maybe there's an other categories where the conjugation is different ? Thanks !
We have verbs ending in -ar, -er, -ir and -or. The regular ones end the same when in different tenses, following the ending rules. But we have quite a few verbs that are irregular and they have their own rules...
There are regular verbs and irregular verbs. Regular verbs are divided into 3 groups, depending on whether they end in "ar" or "er" or "ir". Regular verbs conjugate according to set rules. Each of the 3 groups (ar,er,ir) has their own rules for conjugating. Irregular verbs don't follow any rules and are the bain of my existence.
I recommend the following video.
As the others said, we have verbs ending in -ar, -er, -ir and -or. But those ending in -or conjugate the same way as the ones in -er, because in the past they used to end in -er. Therefore we have 3 different conjugations. An irregular verb can have any of these endings.
