Looking for songs to listen....

Hi, does anyone here know good songs in spanish? I prefer happy-groovy songs like La-Bamba. If you don't know the song here's a link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxPWVX-qSrQ thank you!

Here's a Rollingstone list 10 Greastest Latin Rock Albums

I can only vouch for Santana's Abraxis. However his music is nothing like La Bamba and he has some tunes en inglés. The only other advice I can offer you is to search "spanish rock" or "pop spanish music." You may find interesting results if you change the regions.

Julieta Venega sounds like a pop artist to me, but she has some good music. Check out her hit "Me Voy"

Is Abraxis in Spanish? I know some of their newer stuff is in English so I thought I would ask.

Santana always mixes it up. Abraxas has inglés, Spanish and instrumentals. Black Magic Woman, Mother's Daughter, Hope You're Feeling Better . . . inglés

The Spanish cuts are . . . Tito Puente's American classic Oye Como Va, then there's El Nicoya, Se a Cabo

Check out the new re-Mastered version. It contains some live recordings. I don't know if you're an audiophile but apparently they released a SACD (Super Audio CD) version of Abraxas. If anything else, I recommend the compact disc . . . not mp3.

Connie Francis recorded in Spanish as well as in English, more smoochy and romantic than "groovy", but her diction is usually very clear. She also frequently flips between languages, singing in Spanish or Italian and then in English. A few examples:

I've been enjoying Vivir Mi Vida by Marc Anthony. It is a bit poppy, but has upbeat lyrics and it easy to understand.

I saw Buddy Richard perform a few years ago. He's been performing for decades, but was still fantastic live. He may be a bit more up your ally of what you are looking for.
