Why can you no longer return to the start of a lesson/session when you fail it?

If I am practising I may repeat one session several times to get it right. For some reason you are no longer given the option to 'retry' a session when you fail it. You know have to return to the main menu. This is apparently deliberate, pointless and incredibly irritating. Why?

This was pointed out a couple of days ago and I had a "Duh!" moment when I read it: because you can simply refresh and that will start the lesson again. No dedicated button needed.

I agree, this doesn't make any sense. To get around this annoyance, just use your browser keyboard shortcut (mac: cmd + r or pc: ctrl + r) to refresh the results page and it will bring you back to the start of the lesson or practice session.

the system was made that way. I know its pointless, but I'm guessing this is because some people might want to do a different lesson instead of the one they just failed. For example, if i fail on the secound lesson of food in my french, i might want to go back and redo lesson 1, then after i finish that, i do lesson 2 agien.

It was not made that way, it was changed not that much time ago and they removed this button.

I sent a suggestion two days ago asking for this. If you are trying to complete a lesson and you fail it what you usually do is to try it again, common sense no?... Or I just don't know if my logic is damaged or something. I agree it is just pointless not to have it.
