More lessons would be useful in Spanish

I have been through the Spanish tree a few times and I'm still learning. But it would be useful to have some extra lessons dedicated to some subjects. For instance, in the kitchen asking about things in cupboards, how to use the stove, what is a tap, my toaster is broken. And something more about cars would be good, I have a flat tyre, the steering wheel fell off, the alternator isn't charging the battery, I ran out of polish, etc. Everyday chores would also be helpful, go an mow the lawn, sweep up the leaves, clean out the roofing gutters, paint the fence, weed the garden. I'd be happy to help if I knew the format and how to.

We can add that to the list of requests for more on religion, travel, tourism, culture, etc. :) In the meanwhile, if one has competed the tree and knows the basics of verbs and grammar, learning most of this stuff is just a matter of gaining vocabulary, which is simply dictionary (paper, online, or app) work. If you know fence = la vallar and to paint = pintar, the rest is easy if you've been through the tree -- especially if you've been through it a few times! ;)

Out of curiosity, how much work is required to add new lessons? I naïvely imagine that once the framework is all there, it should more or less be a matter of adding marked-up pairs of sentences. Is that wrong?

I'd be happy to help myself, if it were that simple. My Spanish is nowhere near perfect, but it's not too bad and I have native-speaking friends I could get to double check my translations before submitting them.

Someone asked about a Halloween bonus skill recently. Since it hasn't appeared yet, I put together a short Halloween vocabulary list that might be helpful. It's not like a regular lesson, unfortunately, but for those interested in expanding their vocabulary....

Duolingo has discussed adding more skills in the future. And, they've added more in the past. So, there's a good shot it will happen eventually. I just don't know what the time frame might be.

I have done them all, but I didn't think much of flirting!

The program needs to be expanded to include a lot more words. Sure, you can learn vocabulary on your own but that is not practicing the use of the words you have learned. Probably even more important is more translation of English to Spanish.

Personally, I'd like to see more grammar practice, and especially more advanced grammar.
