Question about skype experiences opinions
Hola companeros y companeras

I was thinking of trying out skype to help with the speaking and listening part of spanish and wanted to get opinions and or experiences from the DL community. Has it helped anyone? Does anyone have any advice or experiences to share? I will upvote replies to show my appreciation.

Muchas gracias y adios
Post note: my apologies for the yellow outlining, i guess the question marks did it, still don't understand why it does that.
The reason your text is highlighted is that you're indenting the start of that paragraph. In markdown syntax, indenting the start of a paragraph by 4 spaces (or more) or a tab indicates that the paragraph should be presented as a block of code in a fixed width font, and it gets highlighted in yellow on this particular implementation. Get rid of the indentation, and it will be fine.
Gracias por la ayuda, i knew quotation marks did it but didn't know what else was causing it. Gracias nueva.
A normal quotation mark (") won't, but a backtick (`) will. For example, "text in quotes" versus
text in backticks.
it helps, even text messages can help you expand your vocabulary. it mostly depends on who you are talking too. If he/she is not so willing to help you learn, then you're not gonna have great results.
I tried joining the language exchange program mixxer. It was okay, i got to talk to some spanish speaking people and they helped me with my grammar and stuff.
That's cool, i wanted to get on skype and find a good speaking partner. The other person didn't have to be a spanish speaker, even if they were someone who was learning spanish like me that would of been cool too. Just to chat the basics and then we can talk about our next gameplan. Now i'm thinking i'll wait a little or wait until i finish my tree.
