It is also correct. But most of time we say pensar + em.

When we have "em" + este, esta, estes, estas, esse, essa, esses, essas, aquele, aquela, aqueles, aquelas, isto, isso, aquilo, we always link. So we have: neste, nesta, nestes, nestas, nesse, nessa, nesses, nessas, naquele, naquela, naqueles, naquelas, nisto, nisso, naquilo. So, your example is: eu penso nisso/nisto. Eu estou pensando nisso/nisto ;)
