Update from Team Swedish!
Here it is!
"Just a short update. We've all had less time to spend on this than we hoped for, but don't give up on us! We spend time working on the course whenever we can, and we will get there. We are now working on the last skills in the tree, which are the most complicated ones. We are also adding tips and notes, reviewing old skills, and adding some new words. 2060/2210 words are finished at the moment. We will start looking for new contributors once we go into beta, but at this point it would only slow things down. (if you don't believe this, google "the Mythical Man-Month"). So please be patient, we are still doing our best, and we will get there!"
Gah! I can't wait! Go Team Swedish! We're cheering you on!
Great work needs time. Take your time, don't rush and the course will be a successfull one =)
Where are you learning Norwegian?
I originally wanted to learn Norwegian, but it wasn't supported so I went to the closest language.
I learn Norwegian on Memrise, it works perfeclty! http://www.memrise.com/course/189711/a1-beginner-norwegian-with-audio/
No problem! Plenty to do with what's already here. Still getting used to Danish, so when Swedish comes, I will be all the more prepared. Thank you so much for all your hard work!
Thanks for the update! And what a cute animated clip of the Simpsons! Any way we can get same-day notification when you go into Beta? I don't want to miss a day!!! :) Här är en lingot!
You can go to Add a new course, select the Swedish course and click Notify me when available.
I think she meant that the "Notify me when available" emails have been delayed. The Chinese course had it get sent 2 months after is was released.
I know, I did that... but Duolingo never emails me any more, even though I should be getting reminders according to my settings.
Well done all, you're almost there! I'm really looking forward to completing the Swedish Skill Tree :)
Maddyis7 has a similar profile picture as you now, of a cat. He announced his new profile picture so he wouldn't confuse everybody. I feel a little confused.
I'm really excited for Swedish! I was there for a few weeks over the summer for a fieldwork course and started picking up a few words straight away. I'd love to go back some day.
