Why not Io sono lo ragazzo?
i think you can say "io sono il ragazzo"
Io sono il ragazzo would mean "I am the boy".
How do I know when to use "sono" instead of "sonno"?
"Sonno" = sleep "Sono" = I "am" or they "are" Bye Tony
