I Completed the French Tree!
On January 26 of this year, I completed the Basics module of French from English. Today, my birthday, I finally completed the tree. Thank you Duolingoists, and fellow learners for providing such an amazing way to learn a language. I am a believer!
Félicitations CanyonBluffs et un lingot en cadeau d'anniversaire !! Happy Birthday to you, best regards from France :))
So how is your french now? Can you speak french? Can you speak it fluently? Do you manage to understand TV shows, movies, etc ? I am very curious what do you feel when it's done with french? oh, It slept my mind! Happy birthday!)))
Je suis encore au niveau debutant. I am still a beginner when it comes to French. I have a couple of coworkers who speak French fluently. They put up with my baby-talk French so that I can improve my ability to speak. I do listen to Francophone podcasts, TV5 on my local cable company, and I like to watch French movies on NetFlix. Completing the "tree" for me is the end of the beginning. I still have a LONG way to go.
Congrats! Ce doit être un merveilleux cadeau d'anniversaire! avoir du plaisir avec votre nouvelle langue!
Wow, that is great. I love Duolingo too and I can't wait to complete the tree ........... soon I hope :)
A little bit each day (or each week) and it will happen sooner than you think.
Merci CanyonBluffs and yes I will keep trying. Hope you had a nice Birthday xxx
Congratulations! Have a lingo! I was so close to complete my tree in the beginning of this summer, but then i focused on my Italian, so most of my french icons became colored. Now I have to start from the first skill :). Anyways it will be useful. Can you please tell me once you finish the tree, will it stay golden, or you have to continue practicing in order to keep it golden?
I can answer that as I finished my Spanish tree a while back. They do not stay golden. You do have to keep practicing it you want them to be golden.
Merci, vous êtes genereuse. Il est exactement comme julistarling le dit. I like to choose the "Strengthen Skills" button and allow DuoLingo to direct me to the skills it thinks I need to work on. I have noticed that sometimes when I do that, I will gain a "bar" in two different skills.
Ooh, I didn't know it worked that way CanyonBluffs. I think I'll try to do that more often then. Thanks for the tip!
Fabulous! Congrats! Sorry I'm not far enough along in my French studies to say that in French yet. :-)
