Completing the Spanish tree is approximately equivalent to which level of college Spanish?

What I'm trying to say is, if someone with no prior experience of Spanish completed the entire tree with good understanding and went into a placement test, which Spanish do you think the person would test into at a college level? Spanish 2? 3? 4?

It's a topic of debate, and one that of course is subject to how you tackle the tree: using immersion, level of repetition of units aka strength of skills, whether you use other sources too, practice speaking, reading, etc.
