Can't see progress
I am, today, at level 19. I don't know how far along I am toward level 20, and as far as I can tell, there is no way to find out. There used to be a progress bar at the top right of the home screen. Why is it gone? Where did it go?
I (foolishly) just enabled the Coach feature, and now I have NO WAY WHATSOEVER to view my XP progress toward the next level. This is ridiculous and highly de-motivating. Please fix this, Duolingo! Thank you.
Have you noticed that you also no longer see your level on the top of the screen?
I note also that my level number no longer shows up on the top bar. There was plenty of room for it. Why on Earth would they take something like that away? It all seems so arbitrary.
I discovered I've been volunteered for that coach test group today and it sucks. I clicked on every possible page to see if the progress line was moved somewhere else - it is on the profile page. If DL wants to test stuff they should ask for volunteers instead of surprise, surprise, you've been added to our beta group. Disgusting!
He shouldn't be put into a position where he has to write code to overcome the bizarre and arbitrary behavior of Duolingo.
You are part of the A/B test for the Coach function. This has created a lot of comments for a number of reasons. I think there are ways of getting the info you are looking for but luckily I still have the old system. There is a sticky message about the Coach in the Duolingo forum or try searching the forums for a possible solution.
You can try checking your profile page. For a few users, the profile page now shows the XPs per language as well as what's needed to reach the next level. This is again in testing phase but if you are in the test group, you can get the required info from there.
