What about the "j" (jol, "y" for the English) sound with the female voice? Is it due to the "g u" in "mig uret"?

Google translate pronunciation says [urat] for watch, which is very different from the one here. Could someone please tell which is correct? :)

I agree js.dani. The pronunciation on Duo is not clear, and I hear "yoowe", which is different to that which I am accustomed to hearing, "ooret".

Yes, the 'y' sound here is wrong.

The one here is correct.

Are you a native? Is it usual for the "jol" sound to appear here?

I thought armbÄndsur was watch, whereas ur was clock- can they normally be used interchangeably?

Most people only say "ur", whether it is a watch on your arm, on your phone or it's the clock that hangs on the wall. We're lazy that way.

First I thought it was: Hun viste mig jul. Not sure I would make the difference when hearing this in real life
