AFRIKAANS COURSE!!!

Dear people, I think there should be an afrikaans language course! Afrikaans is very popular and one of the main languages in africa. This language is very easy to learn because there are no conjugations. Leave a comment below if you agree. If we get a lot of people to comment, I can send it to doulingo and we can make an afrikaans course! Also, if you comment, I will give you a lingot. Thanks!!

It would be great to have an Afrikaans course, but first we'd need people who speak it to apply.

When I saw those exclamation points, I thought you were saying an Afrikaans course is in Phase 1... :(

I have been learning Afrikaans gradually since the beginning of October. I use a free website for learning languages that are not commonly taught. It's called openlanguages. You can find the website here. Here is the Afrikaans Course.

I'm not very good at Afrikaans, certainly not fluent. I've been focusing more on Italian. If you really want a course on Afrikaans, use the website I posted and learn it yourself. Then you could make a Duolingo course for it.

Courses are not created because people want them, but because people have the skills to develop them, and the time to do so. Comments -- even a lot of comments -- won't get the job done, but qualified volunteers might, if they apply to create a course in the incubator, and Duo has the resources to support them. Take a look here: http://incubator.duolingo.com/apply

I know that it sometimes doesnt seem like the comments will help. but they will. If soulingo sees that we have a lot of people wanting to learn afrikaans, then they can use some of there resources to find someone that can. Also, I/we can also find someone that speaks it. If you guys know ANYONE-ANYONE that speaks it, contact me at Gray_Glasser. Thanks1

Afrikaans is mostly spoken in South Africa and Namibia. It is not a popular or a main language on this continent (Africa). Afrikaans is my home language.

Still, afrikaans is popular and easy to learn.
