I'm really surprised by how difficult I'm finding it to find shows in Spanish or with Spanish voiceover and Spanish subtitles. I've been looking for days now and I'm becoming frustrated! I'm living in the UK and keep finding links to sites that won't play videos here, even if I try to use a VPN. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it greatly!

http://rtve.es/ has its stuff available for streaming, though there are no subtitles available. Not sure it's available in Britain, but it is here, and I can't imagine Spain would restrict the UK if they don't the US.

Not exactly what you asked for, but potentially helpful nonetheless: http://learner.org/series/destinos/

Thank you for the suggestion. I just tried Destinos and I think it will help. I've tried watching telenovelas (easy to find on TV in the US where I live), but I think this will be more helpful.

I hate that whole region-coding thing on YouTube. I can't really think of anything right now, there are a lot on YouTube. I usually rip stuff from some DVDs. Some DVD/Blu-rays offer spanish subtitles and dubs. There are many "Let's Play" video games en español con subtitulos. Here's The Last of Us. If you actually play games on PC (of PS3/4 or X-Box) then you have a great source of video content that offer Spanish dubs and subtitles.

If you're interesting in anything specific content, let me know.

Hi keanoo! Check this page out below, there is a lot of Spanish material, a daily video and I think even a 24/7 channel to watch: http://es.kcm.org (-> especially "Medios") - Keep learning language and get to know the good stuff right next to it! - God bless and have a great day!

Other quick links: http://www.enlace.org http://www.elreyjesus.org

Happy watching! - What do you think?

I'm having a blast watching Reina de Corazones, it is a total telenovela but really funny and sucks you in. You do need to watch from the beginning though. They are up to episode 88 now, so that will keep you busy for a while. The story takes place in Las Vegas and the characters have more American mannerisms than other shows, which makes it easier (from my perspective) to relate to and understand cultural references, etc.

¡Enjoy! http://www.telemundo.com/novelas/reina-de-corazones

There is also a great new comedy telenovela (maybe only in US) Jane the Virgin. The show is in English, but if you have Spanish SAP then you can watch in English and rewatch in Spanish.

There was one on recently called "Isabel" about the mother of Catherine of Aragon, the princess of Spain. It has subtitles. I don't know if it's still on but you might be able to find it online. It's quite complicated, it's a period drama type thing so try to learn if you're very advanced but you might like it just as entertainment

That sounds interesting. I'll have to remember it for when my Spanish gets better.

Probably not what you're looking for, but EWTN (a Catholic TV network in the US) has a Spanish channel. I believe it's a mix of original Spanish content and some Spanish voiceovers of their English programs. http://www.ewtn.com/espanol/index.asp

I've not explored the Spanish site yet, but the English site has both archived programs and streaming.

In youtube you can find a few spanish children shows, however they don't have subtitles. Personally, I can only understand a few phrases, but fortunately the shows are easy to follow even if you miss some or even most of what they are saying. Subtitled versions (in spanish) would be nice, if you can find them. The shows are 'La vuelta al mundo de Willy Fog' and 'Las auténticas aventuras del profesor Thompson'.

There are some shows specifically aimed at teaching spanish: Destinos can be watched without subs. They talk a bit slowly. Mi vida loca has optional subs, but it's a very short series.

Personally I can't stand watching anything that is dubbed, so I'm mostly interested in series of Spanish origin myself.
