This sentence is more of a test on my English than Dutch.
"The widower now lives in the big house." idiomatically would suggest that the widower is now in prison.
Perhaps he killed his wife for a life insurance payout.
Isn't huge also a possible translation to grote? It wasn't accepted
I think it is and reported it.
"The huge house" would be "Het enorme huis", which would be bigger than a "big house"/"groot huis"
