How can I get the "mastered" trophy now?
I was doing Gerund and failed the 3 tests to win the "mastered" trophy. Now it seems that I cannot go back to do the review lessons and win my "mastered" trophy the hard/slow way as before. I did numerous practices on verbs but it doesn't add up to mastery. How can I get that trophy now? I really don't want to go to the next skill until I have "mastered" this one.
I noticed this when I failed the three tests. However, what I think you have to do is complete some sentence translations in the section you are in. Paricularly the ones which show gold skill points being available. If successful it should get you mastery. That seemed to work for me. Hope this helps.
Yes and I even saw one of the translation "folders" with a red exclamation point. Once I opened that, did the translation and scored a few I got the "mastered" sign.
Thank you, cranfip and DonnaMarie. But that doesn't seem to work for me. I did 7 sentence translations and still I am short of that trophy I worked for! :( What can I do now? Did you do ALL the translations? is that what we have to do each time we fail the three tests?
I only had to do the "translation challege" which was one paragraph of an article. But I did have to score other people's translations of that same sentence, then click "submit scores" or something like that. In fact, that folder had an exclamation point on it to get my attention until I went back and did the scoring. Once you do that it says "you have contributed to this translation." That is how I finally got the trophy. Did you do the scoring of other people's translations as well? Then I would just go ahead to the next lessons. The points system has changed and it seems if I keep trying to get all those hearts on lessons where I have previously failed, I do not receive any additional points. And sometimes, a section I have not totally mastered gets points when I do work in other sections. So I would say just go on to the next section.
Thanks, DonnaMarie, I finally got my mastery trophy, but only after completing 3 challenges and submitting 3 ratings to make up for the three failed tests! You were right, we have to do the scoring first to make our translation efforts count.
