Day not correct for Australia in the morning
Hi, I am experiencing a problem with the day not being correct for Australia. At this moment it is 8:15am on Monday the morning in Melbourne Australia. Duolingo is still showing that it is Sunday on my "daily goal chart". The problem is - that when I choose to do my duolingo tasks for the day in the morning Australian time, it records it as activity for the previous day. Then if I either can't/don't do extra activity on duolingo for that evening, and also do no activity for the morning of the next day - I lose my constant day rating, and start back at zero - even though I do it later that day. This does not bother me much - but for some learners it would be a discouragement - as they fail to get their extra points for consistently using duolingo each day and building up their 'on fire' points. I think this is a great little feature on duolingo. I am going to try to keep a half an eye on it through today, to see when it finally updates to Monday, and when I notice will let you know. (Although I have a busy day today - so I may get distracted.) This used to work fine - a handful of months ago, but not so now. :( Thank duolingo team for all the great improvements you are making to this site - I am finding it easier being a language learning addict due to your great site :)

What time zone did you use when you signed up? From what I've read over the years, Duolingo goes by that time zone. It's a very inflexible program - as far as I can tell, once one's signed up in a particular time zone, this can never be changed, and the site's minimal staff doesn't care to answer questions about this (or any other issue). You may not have many options.
I signed up in Australia. Then recently spent 2 months over in France. I did not use the program much in France - as I was also taking lessons - and holidaying. Before going to France - the time was correct for Australia - and clicked over at midnight Australian time.
However now it is not. I have just checked it now - and it has finally clicked over to monday. So it does look like it is on French time.
When I was in France I also changed my computers time zone to french time. When I returned to Melbourne - I changed it back to Melbourne time.
Now, after yesterday logging on with my Android phone and doing a task, this morning is correctly reading Tuesday - which it is in Australia. So I have a theory - that it picks up the 'date / time' from the Android duolingo app. We will see how things go - but it looks like my date time has probably been reset.
