Since I needed some extra motivation, I have set my goal to achieve my Spanish tree before Christmas. Currently I need 38 lessons to finish my tree. I normally do around 2 lessons a week and a lot of practice, but to increase my pace I want to publicly expose my new target. Anyone with an own goal, can put it up here if you like. Hopefully more people will join to keep each other motivated....

I have a goal as well. My goal is 14 lessons a week (or two a day), this way I will finish my tree precisely on my birthday!

Note: I can work at a quick pace with the help of a lot of skill strengthening and Memrise.

That's my goal for French but to achieve by the end of the year instead. I also want to be at a JLPT N4 level in Japanese.

If you want to celebrate Christmas in Spanish but don't have the bonus skill, try this.

I only need 29 lessons to finish my Spanish tree, I think I'll also join you in trying to finish it before the end of the year. I needed a goal anyways. Buena surte a todos. :)

It's good to have a goal, but the Spanish tree gets kind of insanely difficult for a while near the end. If you're used to doing 2 lessons per week and now you're switching to over 6 per week, it might (just might, mind you) be unrealistic.

If you find out you've been overzealous with this goal, you could decide to continue your 2 lessons per week and finish a month before your 1-year streak. That's a pretty great accomplishment, too, I think.

Either way, it's good to have a goal.

My goal is very rough. I hope to complete the French from Spanish tree in less than 18 months (total, not from now).

Well, I have spent a lot of time learning sentence construction for the last months and it is getting better every day with less and less small mistakes so I am still confident I will make it. The lessons like Science, Politics, Astract Objects should be easy because they will not add any difficulty to the sentence construction.

But the verb lessons in between will indeed.

Normally I do on average 40XPs per day , mostly on practice sentence construction and a lot of failed practicing off course. So I really hope to increase this by setting this goal....

You guys have better goals than I do. It'll be years before I finish any trees at the rate I'm going. I mostly do strengthen skills and do each language for a few days or a week, depending how I feel, till I get tired of it, then I move on to the next language on the list. Yesterday I did Irish. Today I'm doing Spanish. Oh, by the way, I have a video on my computer of the Irish Rovers singing "The Spanish Lady" (in English) which I got from Youtube.

Well, having 5 different language already on level 16-17 is really an awesome achievement. I hope to finish my second language by christmas, so not even close to your achievement...

Setting a big goal has really helped for me, I have been working on this goal now for roughly five days and with the completion of 14 lessons it brought a lot of focus. Next to doing a lot of new lessons I worked on trying to get more lessons in golden (improved from 20 to 10 not being golden) and doing an average of 80 XPs per day. I could recommend everybody setting goals and doing these sprints...
