Are rejected translations discarded?
Hey, I just submitted a translation to an article, and my version got rejected (49%). My question is, are rejected translations discarded? Because the truth is, I spent quite a bit of time and effort on mine in order to craft a natural sounding English equivalent that carried with it as much of the literal content and the nuances of the original German as possible, and I think my candidate was actually quite good. In fact, I think it was approximately perfect, and I'll be kind of whiny if my attempt isn't even made available for others to critique. Especially since the only other translation of the sentence so far was not good.
