Different time zones & streaks

So I am in a different time zone than I usually am in due to travel (1 hour behind to be exact). I knew I wouldn't be able to get to Duolingo until around 11pm, which is midnight my home time. I didn't know if it would end my 20+ day streak that I have worked so hard to keep. In anticipation to this I also purchased a 1 Day Freeze just in case. Now I completed my activity at 11:11 which is 12:11am in my home town. Now on the internet it looks like my streak is still in tact, but on my mobile device the streak is back to a 1 day streak. What is that about? I want my streak back.

(I can confirm this for android applications)

The streak freeze will preserve your overall streak but will reset all individual streaks. In your phone what you see on the sidebar is your Spanish streak but if you click on "View Profile" option it will display the overall streak (that is 22).

And on websites, individual streaks aren't visible at all. All you and I can see is your overall streak of 22 days.

You probably used that streak freeze so it would be smart to buy another one just in case you have an emergency like a power outage or something unforseen in the future. I keep one on hand but I think I've only used it once. Still, nice to have and not need than the other way around.

Your streak looks like 22 here. I think there is no problem.

On another website, I typed in a fake address for where I lived so even thought I did nothing wrong, I lost some streak bonus. Good thing your streak is still there.
