Or they're using the "no-poo" fad that a bunch of people are starting to follow. I guess baking soda, if used properly, is a good alternative?

Well... I started low-poo....

At first it seemed it would not work, but after a few weeks, it's starting to have an effect.

há 4 anos que eu não uso sulfatos... A VIDA MUDA. minha raiz era super oleosa e desse problema eu não padeço mais, além de fazer muita diferença pra quem tem cabelo comprido. não desista que você não se arrependerá!

Some research has shown it makes no difference (apart from make your hair smell nice of course)

In Brazil the word "shampoo" is much more used than "xampu"... Xampu was a try of "portuguesement" of the word shampoo.

    Why is "champô" not accepted?

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Armando-Gabriel

Because in portuguese it is xampu but we also write shampoo
