I heard about Duolingo first time from my friend. I really like this software because in the same time it looks like a network where peoples can discuss and share their experiences with the aim to learn English language.

I do thank you for all your CLEVER comments. But the three last ones are totally USELESS. Anyway... Well, let's speak between clever people. What are the things you prefer doing on Duolingo?

hi everyone ! I'm trying to improve my english with this website but I think it is not complete as there are no grammar lessons...when learning relative pronouns it is necessary...but i like how interactive it is and it helps reviewing some points...=)

You are not that bad at all. Once you learn English you can switch try to learn all the other languages (such as German, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese) from English.

I think that it is a good site but from a certain level because it is too long to start (learn the food animals etc.) one is more 5 years old! One in the impression to make always the same thing

Well, I think you're right. Duolingo does focus on your first language but it is a kind a pedogagy... I think it's based on your first language in order to have a mental comparison. In my case, it's English <-> French. This comparison allows you to think in your first language, and then, to work in English. Otherwise, you would have to read the tasks and so on in English, to translate into your own language, and finally, to solve the exercise(s). Would'nt it be too much? Actually, I think it's also much easier. Indeed, you don't only train your English, you also train your translation ability... Which is a good thing.

I agree with you. But Duolingo needs amelioration in that way. There are two many sentences in back and forth first language vs learning language. It gives impression that you increase more in your first language that the second language. However I recognize Duolingo revolutionize the online english learning .Do you have the same impression that you increase more in the first language?

Getting back home! Five months ago, I began using Duolingo but I'd like to know: who's still using it every single day? Does it really help you? For school, for instance. Tell us!

I know Duolingo from Facebook. I see it on a wall of my fiend and I ask me this question "what innovation should bring this site in the learning language? I come, I see and I like that.
