I just seem to be picking this up in this audio, but is a slender L supposed to sound like a Y?

So it sounds like whenever there is a word starting LE (like leon and leim) it seems to make a very soft L sound followed by y.... Leon Sounds like lyohn to me... Anyone else?

But how could i say that i have a lion as a pet?

Maybe, "Tá leon agam; is peata é." Or, "Tá peata leon agam."
