Hello from England. Bonjour d'Angleterre. Ciao dall'Inghilterra.

I can't seem to find an introduce yourself or community thread, so I will introduce myself here and wait for the wrath of the experts later :) As the title says, I'm English and looking to learn French, to start with. If anyone would like to add me as a friend, feel free. While I understand most of the translations on here are in American English, I do realise that in most parts of the world anyone studying for an exam in English is probably studying English English, which is quite different. If you think I may be able to help you, just ask, and in the same spirit anyone who thinks they may be able to help me on the road to being bi-lingual add me too. I need all the help I can get.

Welcome to the community! You're right, we need a better way to welcome all new members to the forums :) We are working on some new designs.

That's great! I hope the DL team is also planning to work on ways to help users find others with complementary skill sets and aspirations (ie. someone who speaks the language you're learning and learning a language you already speak) :) or ways for those studying to same language to interact :)

We are very interested in adding more social features and connecting other language learners with each other. We'll be developing new ways to do that soon!

¡Qué bien! :D

Hi Peni and hello from Germany! :)

I've also been looking for someone who could help me with my Spanish. Yesterday, I started "learning English from Spanish" and browsed the discussions looking for people who'd like help with their English.. Now another user and I are trying to be "language buddies" :P I'm not sure how well it'll work, but maybe it's something you could also try..? :)

Either way, good luck! :D

I am English as well from Bristol looking to brush up my school French.
