Is 'der' necessary in this sentence?
Is this a correct Danish sentence: "Hvad er i pakkerne?"
Same question. Can someone confirm or correct. Thanks.
why not "what ARE there in the packages?"
one month later, and the same question as well...should I report?
LOl, I made the question two months ago!
9 months later and still not accepted :/
Still not accepted.
Is it common to say that in English?
As some one else said, No. But technically since it could not be one thing in multiple packages, maybe it should be. But again, it's not.
I'd suppose, because 'what' is usually considered to be singular
Why would you say that anyway? It sounds unnatural.
Packets != parcels?
How would you translate "what is there, in the packages?".
I heard this as "Hvad er der i parkerne?"
It should be what are in the packages!
NO .if you ask a question with "what" it's because don't know if there is one or many things in that parcel .
Should be 'are' as subject is plural
