"En tidning" is "a newspaper", but in English it's fairly common to refer to "the newspaper", even when speaking generally. Is it usually "en tidning" in Swedish, or is there a equivalent translation (would it be along the lines of "tidningen"?)?
I'd probably go with tidningen if I knew which paper she was reading, and en tidning if I just knew she's reading a paper.
