Goodbye French tree

After finishing my French tree, my goals were to turn it gold and to improve my levels. Well DL ha s removed my Xp bar so I can't check my progress, then I see that the gold skills are gradually becoming white. I am not going to devote my life to a neverending task. After learning the basic items I want to devote myself to real communication and practice what I have learned, so I will take leave from my French tree. I'll stay on DL, because it is a good instrument but I will devote myself to learning other languages.

One thing I've been doing more of is the immersion. However, keeping the tree lit up is not exactly fun. Good luck on your next language.

well, now I'm doing immersion too. I have started translating from English to French and got 1 vote! I 've reached the second tier for bothe French and Spanish. It may seem not much for most learners, but it's a great result for me. Bye thanks

The gold skills are gradually becoming white because you need to practice words after a while, so you won't foget them or recall them if you have. Good luck with other languages!

Well, the problem is that, while I am getting some skills gold , other skills are becoming white. Now , you can't do the same exercises over and over again. I am going to use my skills in authentic communication, reading and listening to news, songs, books, chatting and writing. So, while I am practicing the French I have learnt , I am studying Spanish. If I really need to revise French, I'll do, but getting the tree gold is no more my aim. Thank you!

Congratulations on finishing your French tree, lumna! That's a great accomplishment! I agree with you that "real communication" will greatly improve your french linguistic skills! I'm so glad to hear that you're staying on Duolingo because I'd miss you! Thank you so much for your help in the past! Abbracci, amica!

Thanks, now I'm doing immersion. I'm on the second tier for French and Spanish : I've started from English to French and I got 3 votes from English to French! How is your Italian going on?
