I am having a lot of problems hearing some of the words. I am hearing impaired and because of this I loos a heart or two in most lessons even though I know the answer. Is there any way that those of us who have a hearing problem can get help? Even slowing the voice is not always a help.
The details of setting it depend on your operating system and internal or external speaker devices, but there are usually ways of boosting the sound output for all sounds made by the computer.
In Windows, start by going to Control Panel, then to Sound. There should be something like Digital Output listed. Click on that and then click the Properties button, and you will get a dialogue in which various settings can be made. Look through them and see if you can find one for equalizing or boosting the sound output.
And do you use an earphone instead of the computer speakers? Some headphones/ear pieces are pretty cheap so you would want one with good quality. Since you know you have a hearing loss, a set of headphones with the 1/8 jack could plug directly into your computer. Or the little earbud things which are easier to wear. But a full headphone set would give you the best chance. And of course, the headphone mic combo.
