learning Spanish or Italian?
Hi! I got some of my friends to try duolingo, but none of them persevered. If there's other people learning those languages, could you add me? It would give me motivation to see someone else's progress.
P.S. I'm fluent in French also, if you ever need help with grammar or other things.
Also, I didn't see a point in following friends who haven't logged in months, so I unfollowed them. Now duolingo greets me with "You’re alone, petitlaf!", which is slightly depressing. Thank you for commenting on my social life you green owl!
Next time I log in, I half expect the app to welcome me with "You've gained weight recently, do you really need to eat that cookie?" or some other heartwarming salutation.
"...could you add me? It would give me motivation to see someone else's progress."
If other people add you, you won't see their progress.
What you need to do is find folks that are studying Spanish and/or Italian, who have reasonable streaks (so you know they don't come on here a couple of days and then bail for a few weeks or months) and YOU add THEM as friends.
Then they'll show up on your home page leader board and in your Activity stream.
I would love to add you (I'm learning Italian), and maybe we can help each other with grammar and such? (P.S. In regards to my 3-day streak, it would be 10 days (I think?) but I failed to reach my 50XP goal a few days ago ):)
