Am I getting dumber? I finished the entire Spanish Skill Tree but when I go back to strengthen the individual units they are almost impossible. Does anyone know if the degree of difficulty gets bumped up?

You are not getting dumber! You may, however, be going through a period of 'lesser comprehension'. I seem to cycle between these quite often. I think there are many factors at play here, such as how tired you are, what mood you are in, what you have eaten that day, etc.

Also, I don't know if anyone else has had this issue, but I noticed that when I first started Spanish a few months ago, everything was very new and I was very excited about it. Once you go over all the lessons several times, however, that excitement wears off and it becomes more of a grind. Try to incorporate different styles of learning in order to combat this fatigue.

Keep practicing. In time things will become clearer again.

Is it possible that you're a little rusty in those skills?

If you're doing the timed test, try doing the untimed. I find that when I haven't touched a concept in a while, it can be very difficult, and doing it under a time crunch makes things even harder.
